Record Instance Detail
Screen
Use the Record Instance Detail screen to define how a reference object is used with a
database (DB) requester. A reference object can be one ENSCRIBE record or one
NonStop SQL table.
This screen includes the following information:
The format of the reference object's portion of the application screen.
Standard services enabled for this reference object.
Any linkage information (to another reference object).
When you first define a DB requester on the Requester Definition screen, create a
Record Instance Detail record for each reference object in the requester context. The
Pathmaker product creates the default screen from this information.
The Pathmaker product supplies the initial value for the following three fields on this
screen from their corresponding entries on the Requester Definition Screen:
Initial Values
Headings
Screen Format
Although these fields appear on both screens, for DB requesters you must change the
field on the Record Instance Detail screen to affect screen creation. Once a requester is
added, modifying the value for one of these fields on the Requester Definition screen
does not affect the Record Instance Detail screen for individual reference objects.
