Displaying the Screen You reach the Record Instance Detail screen by selecting a reference object or a blank
field in the Reference Object column and pressing F11 from the Requester Context
screen.
You can reach the Record Instance Detail screen from the Requester Definition screen
if you have only one reference object defined. Press F11.
Field Descriptions The following paragraphs describe the fields on the Record Instance Detail screen.
Requester Name
Displays the name of the requester from the Requester Context screen. You cannot
enter data in this field.
Record Name
If you came to this field directly from the Requester Definition screen, displays the
name you entered in the Single Reference Object field. Otherwise, displays the name
of the reference object selected on the Requester Context screen.
To add a new reference object to the requester's context, enter the new record's name
into this field, enter the name of an existing record to copy from in the As Copy Of
field, and press F1.
To update an existing reference object, select it on the Requester Context screen,
navigate to the Record Instance Detail screen, change the information you want, and
press F2 to update the entry.
To delete an existing reference object, select it on the Requester Context screen,
navigate to the Record Instance Detail screen, and press SF2 to delete the entry.
As Copy Of
If the name in the Record Name field is an alias, displays the name of the DDL record
or NonStop SQL table associated with the alias.
To add records to the requester context for the first time, enter the name of the new
record in the Record Name field and enter the name of an existing record to copy from
in this field. Doing this, you can add multiple reference objects, each of which refer to
the same DDL RECORD or NonStop SQL table object.
Repetition
Enter the number of times the record is to be displayed on the application screen.
Follow these guidelines when assigning repetition to a reference object:
A reference object that has a repetition greater than 1 cannot be used as a
parameter into or out of the requester.
You can only have a repetition greater than 1 for a record instance that has no
child records. That is, only the last generation of a family tree can have a
repetition greater than 1.
The default for Repetition is 1.
