Pathmaker Screens

Initial Values
Displays the default value used in this record's portion of the screen. The Pathmaker
product initially supplies the value for this field from the Initial Values entry on the
Requester Definition screen.
Enter another value to override it. The new value you enter remains unchanged when
the corresponding entry on the Requester Definition screen is modified.
Y For ENSCRIBE records, uses the default values specified in the each field's DDL
description. For NonStop SQL tables, uses the default value specified in each
column's TABLE description.
N For both ENSCRIBE records and NonStop SQL tables, uses zero as the default for
each numeric field and blanks as the default for each alphanumeric field.
The requester's screen shows default values both when the screen is first displayed
and when you press the function key for which you have assigned the DFLT action
code.
Formatting Information
Displays general information for the design of your requester's screen.
If you already used the Screen Painter to create a screen, you can ignore the Headings,
Screen Format, and Title fields.
Headings
Displays the prompt text for each field. The Pathmaker product initially supplies the
value for this field from the Headings entry on the Requester Definition screen.
Enter HEAD, NAME, or NULL to override the value in this field. This value remains
unchanged when the corresponding entry on the Requester Definition screen is
modified.
HEAD For ENSCRIBE records, uses the heading text optionally specified in the
field's DDL description. If no heading is specified in the DDL description,
uses the field name.
For NonStop SQL tables, uses the heading text specified on the Display
Detail screen. If no heading is specified on the Display Detail screen, uses
the field name.
NAME For ENSCRIBE records, uses the actual field name in the DDL description
and ignores any heading text in the field's DDL description.
For NonStop SQL tables, uses the field name.
NULL Shows fields without headings of any kind.
