This glossary defines technical terms used in the manuals for the Compaq Pathway
products, which include Compaq NonStop™ Pathway/XM, Compaq NonStop™
Pathway/iTS, and Compaq NonStop™ Transaction Services/MP (NonStop™ TS/MP).
It is intended for users of these products and their manuals.

New and Changed Information
Compaq NonStop™ Pathway/XM is a new name for the product that was formerly
called Pathway/XM. After the first reference to the product name in this glossary,
subsequent references use the shortened form of the name, Pathway/XM.
The Compaq NonStop™ Pathway/iTS product was formerly called Pathway/TS. For
the Pathway/iTS 1.0 independent product release, the product was renamed to conform
to current Compaq product naming standards and to reflect the new internet (web client)
capabilities of the product. After the first reference to the product name in this glossary,
subsequent references use the shortened form of the name, Pathway/iTS.
The Compaq NonStop™ Pathway Products Glossary is a new manual. It replaces the
individual glossaries in the manuals for Compaq Pathway products: Pathway/XM,
Pathway/iTS, and NonStop™ TS/MP.
