VIII. Known Problem List
Refer to the SOFTDOCS of the individual components for the list of
known problems. Also, refer to Section X Items To Be Aware Of
below for some facts that have not been mentioned in any manual.
IX. Notes on JMAKENV
1. Before running the JMAKENV utility, you need to choose the
platform where you will compile the generated Java sources.
If you want to compile all the Java sources on a Windows OS
machine, then run JMAKENV as
RUN JMAKENV <pobj-file-name> NT
If you want to compile all the Java sources in OSS on NSK, then
the command is
RUN JMAKENV <pobj-file-name> <app-home> <make-file>
where,
<pobj-file-name> is the name of the POBJ file,
<app-home> is an existing OSS directory where you want the
application to be built,
<make-file> is the name of the make file that JMAKENV will create,
and NT indicates that the build will be done on Windows OS.
To view the command syntax, just give the command RUN JMAKENV.
2. Building application on Windows OS:
a) When you run the JMAKENV with NT option, two files are generated:
JGETFILE and JPUTFILE. Transfer these two files in ascii mode to
your PC or a desktop machine that has Windows OS. Rename these
two files to JGETFILE.BAT and JPUTFILE.BAT.
b) Execute JGETFILE.BAT. To view the command syntax, give the
command JGETFILE on DOS prompt.
Execution of this batch file will transfer all the generated
Java sources and HTML files from the NSK machine to the current
folder, with proper names.
c) Compile all the Java sources. You can use any Java compiler.
Make sure that ITSJLIB.jar is present on the PC and the
CLASSPATH environment variable is set accordingly.
d) Now execute JPUTFILE.BAT. To view the command syntax, give
the command JPUTFILE on the DOS prompt.
Execution of this batch file will transfer all the class
files and the HTML files to the specified location on the
NSK webserver.
3. Building application in OSS on NSK:
a) When you run the JMAKENV specifying the <app-home> and the
<make-file> parameters, the JMAKENV does the following:
i) Creates two OSS directories: <app-home>/build and
<app-home>/bin
ii) Copies all the Java and HTML files with proper names to
<app-home>/build directory.
