About This Manual
This manual is both a task-oriented and a reference manual. It gives instructions and
guidelines for configuring and managing objects in the Compaq NonStop™
Pathway/XM environment using the PXMCFG, PXMCHK, and PXMCOM utilities. It
also provides syntax and complete descriptions of all PXMCFG statements and
PXMCOM commands and gives cause, effect, and recovery information for all
messages returned by these utilities.
Who Should Read This Manual
This manual provides all the information that system managers and operators normally
need to configure and manage the Pathway/XM environment. However, when
performing detailed troubleshooting, you might need to refer to the manuals for the
underlying Compaq NonStop™ TS/MP or Compaq NonStop™ Pathway/iTS software.
