following command:
>> VERBOSE OFF

The VERBOSE command displays a large amount of information that can be useful in
troubleshooting. For the syntax of the VERBOSE command, refer to VERBOSE
on
page 11-108.
Status and Error Messages
In a running Pathway/XM environment, several kinds of status and error messages can
be logged:
•
PXMCOM messages
•
Process broker (PB) messages
•
Link Control Service (LCS) messages
•
PATHCOM messages
•
PATHMON messages
•
TCP messages
•
LINKMON link-management messages
•
LINKMON log messages
All of these types of messages except the LINKMON log messages are of the following
form:
*nnnn* message-text
where nnnn is the message number and message-text is a brief description of the
error that can contain variables.
The message number identifies the process that reported the error, as follows:
PATHCOM messages, PATHMON messages, TCP messages, and LINKMON link-
management messages come from the underlying NonStop
TM
TS/MP and Compaq
NonStop™ Pathway/iTS software. These messages are returned because PXMCOM
internally issues PATHCOM commands to the PATHMON processes in the
Pathway/XM environment. Such messages can indicate errors in PXMCOM commands
you issued, or they can indicate other error conditions in the Pathway/XM environment.
Message Numbers in This Range… Are Generated by…

2000 through 2999 PATHCOM processes
3000 through 3999 TCPs and LINKMON processes
6000 through 6999 PXMCOM, PB, and LCS processes
