Monitoring LINKMON Processes
In a Pathway/XM environment, the well-known named PATHMON process handles all
requests from LINKMON processes. Therefore, there should never be more than one
LINKMON process with links to server classes in a Pathway/XM environment.
Displaying Information About LINKMON Processes
You can display status information about LINKMON processes using the following
PXMCOM commands:

STATUS LINKMON
•
STATUS PATHWAY
•
STATUS PATHMON
•
STATUS SERVER
STATUS LINKMON Command
To get status information about the LINKMON processes communicating with your
Pathway/XM environment, use the STATUS LINKMON command. For example, the
following command displays status information about a particular LINKMON process
running on a specific system:
>> STATUS LINKMON L\EAST.$ZL05
The next command displays status information for all LINKMON processes in the
Pathway/XM environment:
>> STATUS LINKMON *
STATUS PATHWAY Command
To determine the number of LINKMON processes communicating with your
Pathway/XM environment, use the STATUS PATHWAY command:
>> STATUS PATHWAY
STATUS PATHMON Command
To identify the LINKMON processes currently communicating with the well-known
named PATHMON process, use the STATUS PATHMON command:
>> STATUS PATHMON
The STATUS PATHMON display shows the Guardian process IDs of the LINKMON
processes and their process-accessor IDs.
STATUS SERVER Command
To identify the LINKMON processes currently linked to a specific server class, use the
STATUS SERVER command with the PROCESSES option. For example:
>> STATUS SERVER CLASS-1, PROCESSES, DETAIL
