Displaying Statistics
Once you enter the CONTROL TCP STATS OFF parameter, all statistical counters are
reset to 0.
The STATS TCP Command
The STATS TCP command displays statistics about TCP operations and data-space
allocation for a single TCP, multiple TCPs, or all TCPs in a Pathway/XM environment.
(This command does not display information about external TCPs that might have links
to local servers.)
For example, the following command displays statistics for the TCP associated with the
terminal TERM-1:
>> STATS TCP TERM-1
If you include the DETAIL option, the STATS TCP display also includes statistics (such
as response-time information) for each terminal and server class associated with the
selected TCPs. For example, the following command displays statistics for all terminals
under the TCPs associated with terminals in group ABC, and also statistics collected by
those TCPs for all server classes:
>> STATS TCP GROUP ABC, DETAIL
If you include the FREQTABLE option, the STATS TCP command generates a
frequency distribution table that contains statistics for each terminal and server class
associated with the selected TCPs. For example, the following command generates a
frequency distribution table of statistics collected by all TCPs in the Pathway/XM
environment for all terminals and server classes:
>> STATS TCP *, FREQTABLE
For the syntax of the STATS TCP command, refer to STATS TCP on page 11-69.
The STATS TERM Command
The STATS TERM command displays statistics about resource usage and performance,
including response-time information, for a single TERM object, multiple TERM objects,
or all TERM objects in a Pathway/XM environment. These statistics are gathered by the
TCPs that control the TERM objects.
For example, the following command displays statistics for the terminal named
TFRONT1:
>> STATS TERM TFRONT1
The next command displays statistics for all TERM objects in the terminal group ABC:
>> STATS TERM GROUP ABC
The next command displays statistics for all TERM objects in a Pathway/XM
environment:
>> STATS TERM *
