SET NODE
DEFAULT $volume.subvolume
specifies the Guardian name of the disk volume and subvolume to be used as a file
name expansion default by all SERVER or TERM objects associated with this
NODE object. If you set this attribute, both the volume and the subvolume must be
specified.
If you omit this attribute, names default to the volume and the subvolume on which
the PXMCFG process is running.
GUARDIAN-SWAP $volume
specifies the Guardian name of the default disk volume for the swap file used by the
operating system for memory swaps of Pathway/XM processes. If a subvolume
name or file name is given for this attribute, it is not used. If you omit this attribute,
the default is the volume used when PXMCFG was executed.
For Pathway/XM environments running on operating-system versions D40.00 or
more recent, the operating system allocation of this swap file is handled by the
Kernel Managed Swap Facility (KMSF) on behalf of the PATHMON process. Any
value specified for this parameter is not used. However, if you specify a value for
this parameter, it must represent an existing device, or an error occurs.
The GUARDIAN-SWAP attribute for NODE objects is also used to specify the
volume on which the Pathway/XM product code files reside.
HOMETERM device-name
specifies the file name of the terminal or other device that is to receive default
debugging and informational messages.
If you omit this attribute, the default is the terminal from which PXMCFG was
executed.
PRI priority
specifies the base execution priority for processes assigned to this NODE object
relative to processes assigned to other NODE objects.
Valid values are from 11 through 199. If the priority of a process is not overridden,
each process started on this logical node runs with a priority value minus an offset
value associated with the type of process, as follows:
Note. This means that NODE objects on the same physical system must specify the same
volume for the GUARDIAN-SWAP attribute.
Process Type Default Priority Value
PATHMON NODE object priority minus 0
Process Broker (PB) NODE object priority minus 1
