Building a Pathway/XM Configuration
Then you run the PXMCFG utility, specifying your configuration source file as input.
The PXMCFG utility creates a SuperCTL file using the statements in the configuration
source file.
Figure 3-1
illustrates a configuration for a Pathway/XM environment.
As shown in Figure 3-1
, a Pathway/XM configuration is an abstraction of the actual
processes and tasks in a Pathway/XM environment. The gray rectangles in the
foreground show the items you define in your PXMCFG source file; the white items
behind them are items that Pathway/XM automatically creates or uses as a result.
Through the PXMCFG utility, you define templates for components such as
PATHMON processes, terminal control processes (TCPs), and server classes.
