STATUS PATHMON
STATUS PATHMON
This command displays the status of each PATHMON process and its configuration file
and the Pathway/XM environment logging files. This command also displays a list of
the processes currently communicating with each PATHMON process.
Consideration
You can direct the output of this command to a file by using the OUT command before
executing the STATUS command.
Display Fields
The fields in the displays returned by this command are as follows:
STATUS PATHMON
Display Field Description
CPUS Primary and backup CPUs in which the PATHMON process is running. The
CPU numbers displayed are the current CPUs for these processes and not
necessarily the CPUs configured for the PATHMON process.
If the PATHMON backup process is not running, the PATHMON process
does not display a number for the backup process.
ERROR Last error for the indicated file
FILE Requester type. Possible values are:
LINKMON The requester is a LINKMON process.
LOG The task that writes log messages to the log file. This is
always reqnum = 0 and is displayed only if the task is
waiting.
PATHCOM The requester is a PATHCOM process.
TCP The requester is a TCP running in this Pathway environment.
EXT TCP The requester is an external TCP
SYS The requester is the operating system; that is, a system
message is being processed.
LOG The type of logging defined, current state, and name of the indicated log
file.
Possible logging types are:
S The log file is open for status logging.
E The log file is open for event logging.
Possible state values are:
CLOSED The file is closed.
OPEN The file is open.
PATHCTL The current state and name of the PATHMON configuration file. Possible
state values are:
CLOSED The file is closed.
OPEN The file is open.
