4-4 Viewing Violations
POS/TA provides the ability to log violations on thresholds, depending on the option(s) selected in the Alert
Logging area in the Threshold Detail dialog box. You have an option to:
Log alerts to POS/TA database: Viewed using the POS/TA GUI
Log events to Windows NT Event log: Viewed using the Windows NT Event Viewer
Log events to NonStop Node
This section provides details on how to view violations logged to the POS/TA database.
POS/TA provides you with the ability to drill-down and view details of violations for a particular entity. The drill-
down feature displays all the thresholds in violation for the entity. You can click on the individual threshold link
from the list and view its details.
Perform the following steps to view the threshold violations for an entity.
1. Click on the entity name in the Name column. This will display the View violations hyperlink for the
selected entity.
NOTE: The View violations link is only available for entities with thresholds under violation.

2. Click on the View violations hyperlink. This will display the Violations window.
