Processor Halt Codes Manual

Recovery
Refer to Processor Halt Monitoring and Recovery (page 10). Take a memory dump and contact
your service provider or the Global NonStop Solution Center (GNSC), as directed by your local
operating procedures.
%003054
Cause
A privileged memory-management procedure was called by either a process with invalid
parameters or a process that was in an invalid state.
Effect
The processor halts. The rest of the system is not affected.
Recovery
Refer to Processor Halt Monitoring and Recovery (page 10). Take a memory dump and contact
your service provider or the Global NonStop Solution Center (GNSC), as directed by your local
operating procedures.
%003055
Cause
Swap files for the Kernel-Managed Swap Facility (KMSF) have not been configured, and there
is not enough space on $SYSTEM to create a default swap file.
Effect
Each processor that does not have access to sufficient available disk space on $SYSTEM cannot
be loaded.
Recovery
Either free up disk space on $SYSTEM or create swap files on another volume with available
disk space. To use the default swap files located on $SYSTEM, free up at least 128 megabytes
of disk space for the system-load processor, and 1 megabyte for each additional processor. To
create swap files on another volume, use the NSKCOM command ADD.
For more information about KMSF and NSKCOM, refer to the Kernel-Managed Swap Facility
(KMSF) Manual. If the problem persists, contact your service provider or the Global NonStop
Solution Center (GNSC), as directed by your local operating procedures.
%003056
Cause
An internal error occurred in KMSF initialization.
Effect
The processor halts. The rest of the system is not affected.
Recovery
Refer to Processor Halt Monitoring and Recovery (page 10). After taking a memory dump, contact
your service provider or the Global NonStop Solution Center (GNSC), as directed by your local
operating procedures.
%003057
Cause
The Kernel-Managed Swap Facility (KMSF) subsystem failed an internal consistency check.
Effect
The processor halts. The rest of the system is not affected.
