Effect
All freeze-enabled processors halt.
Recovery
Refer to Processor Halt Monitoring and Recovery (page 10). Take a memory dump and contact
your service provider or the Global NonStop Solution Center (GNSC), as directed by your local
operating procedures.

The operating system was unable to lock down memory for the message-system cache buffers.
Effect
All freeze-enabled processors halt.
Recovery

your service provider or the Global NonStop Solution Center (GNSC), as directed by your local
operating procedures.

Cause
The processor was unable to send an “I’m alive” message to itself. A common cause is that the
processor has lost power.
Effect
The processor halts. The rest of the system is not affected.
Recovery
Check the cable connections; correct loose cables, or replace faulty cables. If the halt recurs,
refer to Processor Halt Monitoring and Recovery (page 10). Take a memory dump and contact
your service provider or the Global NonStop Solution Center (GNSC), as directed by your local
operating procedures.

The message system detected an inconsistency in the state of a link control block (LCB).
Effect
