Processor Halt Codes Manual
Recovery
Refer to Processor Halt Monitoring and Recovery (page 10). Take a memory dump and contact
your service provider or the Global NonStop Solution Center (GNSC), as directed by your local
operating procedures.
%004210
Cause
An internal consistency check failed while processing a send info block (SIB) that was aborted
by ServerNet services.
Effect
The processor halts. The rest of the system is not affected.
Recovery
Refer to Processor Halt Monitoring and Recovery (page 10). Take a memory dump and contact
your service provider or the Global NonStop Solution Center (GNSC), as directed by your local
operating procedures.
%004211
Cause
A CPU was showing symptoms of prolonged messaging sluggishness.
Effect
The processor halts. The rest of the system is not affected.
Recovery
Refer to Processor Halt Monitoring and Recovery (page 10). Take a memory dump and contact
your service provider or the Global NonStop Solution Center (GNSC), as directed by your local
operating procedures.
%004240 through %004257
Cause
Repeated memory errors prevented an inter-CPU message from being successfully delivered after
10 retries. The cause of the repeated memory errors depends on processor type and model. For
example, the memory errors can be caused by R10K speculating stores in S-Series processors
with an R10K processor.
The number in the least significant four bits (that is, n where the halt code is %004240 + n) is
the number of the source processor that sent the message to the halted processor.
Effect
The processor halts. The rest of the system is not affected.
Recovery
Refer to Processor Halt Monitoring and Recovery (page 10). Take a memory dump and contact
your service provider or the Global NonStop Solution Center (GNSC), as directed by your local
operating procedures.
%004305
Cause
An internal error occurred when a low-level consistency check failed in the Fiber Optic Extension
(FOX) message system.
Effect
All freeze-enabled processors halt.
