Effect
The processor remains halted. The rest of the system is not affected.
Recovery
Before taking any action, contact your service provider or the Global NonStop Solution Center
(GNSC), as directed by your local operating procedures. A device load or reload might be
possible; however, the board might need to be replaced.

Perform a firmware update of the SCSI boot code by using the OSM or TSM facility.

Cause
HSS could not determine the CPU model number.
Effect
HSS is operational but coldload and reload will fail.
Recovery
Verify that the EFI variable value is correct if the system requires one, otherwise contact your
service provider or the Global NonStop Solution Center (GNSC), as directed by your local
operating procedures. For information on verifying the EFI variable, refer to the hardware
installation manual for your system.

Cause
One or more processor cores have failed. This halt code will only be seen if the NonStop Kernel
has been previously running.
Effect
Coldload and reload will be prevented.
