Processor Halt Codes Manual

Cause
HSS detected an internal error.
Effect
The processor halts. The rest of the system is unaffected.
Recovery
Retry the operation. If the problem recurs, contact your service provider or the Global NonStop
Solution Center (GNSC), as directed by your local operating procedures.
%102217 MICROHALT_LSU_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT
Cause
A programming error resulted in the expiration of the LSU watchdog timer.
Effect
The processor halts. The rest of the system is unaffected.
Recovery
Write down the halt code and contact your service provider or the Global NonStop Solution
Center (GNSC), as directed by your local operating procedures.
%102220 MICROHALT_RELODUMP_SNET_ERR
Cause
A processor dump or processor reload failed because of a ServerNet error.
Effect
The processor halts. The rest of the system is unaffected.
Recovery
Retry the operation. If the problem recurs, contact your service provider or the Global NonStop
Solution Center (GNSC), as directed by your local operating procedures.
%102221 MICROHALT_MCA_IN_HSS
Cause
A Machine Check Abort (MCA) occurred in Halted State Services (T8004 or T0287).
Effect
The processor remains halted. The rest of the system is unaffected.
Recovery
Refer to Processor Halt Monitoring and Recovery (page 10). If the NonStop Kernel has previously
run on this processor, attempt to take a memory dump. After the dump completes or if taking a
dump is not possible, in order to ensure a complete clean-up of and recovery from the MCA,
perform a “Hard Reset" on this NonStop Kernel logical processor This hard reset can be
accomplished using the Onboard Administrator (OA) or OSM Low-Level Link (LLL). If the processor
fails to come back up to the %100212 PON Halt, then processor hardware must be replaced
to resolve the problem. The processor can be reloaded after it has come back up to the Power-On
(PON) Halt (%100212 halt code). If the processor reload results in another halt, then the processor
should be scheduled for replacement at the earliest convenience. For additional assistance,
contact your service provider or the Global NonStop Solution Center (GNSC), as directed by
your local operating procedures.
%102222 MICROHALT_LOST_ALL_LINKS_ON_MCA
Cause
Both ServerNet links went down to this NonStop Kernel logical processor, as a result of a Machine
Check Abort (MCA).
