TIMESTAMP Command
TIMESTAMP Command
The TIMESTAMP command determines whether the trace record time displayed will
be the Local Civil Time (LCT) or the original time of the system where the trace was
taken.
ORIGINAL
displays the time of the header or records as the original time when the trace was
taken.
LOCAL
displays the time of the header or records as the time, converted to the LCT of the
system where the trace is being displayed.
Considerations: TIMESTAMP Command
If neither ORIGINAL nor LOCAL is specified, ORIGINAL is assumed.
The default for TIMESTAMP is ORIGINAL when no trace file is open.
The FROM and RESET commands reset TIMESTAMP to ORIGINAL.
TRANSLATE Command
The TRANSLATE command controls ASCII-to-EBCDIC translation of trace records.
For more information, refer to ASCII-to-EBCDIC Translation
on page 2-11.
ON
enables ASCII-to-EBCDIC translation.
OFF
disables ASCII-to-EBCDIC translation.
Considerations: TRANSLATE Command
If the TRANSLATE command is not used, OFF is assumed.
Note. This command only applies to trace records created by version C30 (or greater) of the
SCF TRACE facility. If the TIMESTAMP command is specified for an older trace file, PTrace
issues a warning message and ignores the command.
