Overview This appendix contains explanations for system messages you may encounter at
system startup and during Queue Manager operation.
Initialization Messages Following are error messages that can be issued during initialization.
Bad version number on file <filename>
Meaning. The version number in the control record of the specified file was invalid for
the running version of the server. The file must be converted to the current,
compatible version.
Defined data structure queue-file-control inconsistent
Meaning. The data within the structure is inconsistent with the length of the structure
itself. This will cause the particular server to abend. There might be a problem with
the compilation procedure used to build the server. Report the error to the system
manager or the Tandem Online Support Center.
Error <error> obtaining maximum record length of file
<filename>
Meaning. An error occurred when the server attempted to obtain information about the
specified file. The value <error> is the file system error to see for additional
information.
Error <error> opening file <filename>
Meaning. The attempt to open the specified file failed. The value <error> is the file
system error to see for additional information.
Error <error> while setting lock mode of file <filename>
Meaning. The specified file system error occurred while trying to set the locking mode
of the specified file. The value <error> is the file system error to see for additional
information.
