Table A-2 shows error ranges and the processes that generate errors within each range.

Table A-2. RETN-CODE Errors

Range Meaning

4900 through 4999 The error or warning was returned by the GUARDIAN 90 file system.

6000 through 6099 The error or warning was returned by the Queue Manager.

All UOW code numbers that are passed to Queue Manager by your application and

that are not explicitly listed in this appendix return one of these errors to the RETN-

CODE field:

E-INVALID-UOW-HDR is a request error. The UOW code is undefined in the

system.

E-RESTRICTED-OPERATION is a UOW error. The UOW is reserved for use by

Queue Manager.

E-UOW-NOT-IMPLEMENTED is a UOW error. The code is reserved for a UOW

that is not yet implemented.

RETN-CODE-DETAIL Errors

Certain errors reported in the RETN-CODE field also cause additional related error

codes to appear in the RETN-CODE-DETAIL field. These additional codes can reflect

errors detected by the GUARDIAN 90 operating system, which refers to Queue

Manager by its file code, 266. For information about such errors, refer to the

GUARDIAN 90 Operating System Programmer's Guide.
