Required Software and Related Documentation
The following products must be installed on the NonStop Server before you configure the
Subscription Module:
• BEA WebLogic Server 8.1 and NonStop Server Toolkit for WebLogic Server
• NonStop SQL/MX 2.0
• Real Time Information Director executable JAR file (rtid.jar)
User Tasks
The following steps are required to include the Subscription module in your solution:
1. Install BEA WebLogic Server and the NonStop Server Toolkit for WebLogic
Server on HP NonStop Server.
2. Create the data store. Refer to the Readme.txt file for the RTSC example for
information about creating the data store for a supply-chain solution. Refer to the
Readme.txt for the chin example for information about creating the data store for
a healthcare solution. Refer to the lab Readme.txt to setup the library example.
3. Install and Configure the Real Time Information Director. Refer to the document
entitled RTID Deployment for instructions.
4. Configure the Subscription Module (SubServ).
5. Register the sample subscriptions that are distributed with the Subscription
module.
