Deployment Process
The deployment instructions in this document show how to deploy the Director
components under WebLogic, first under WebLogic running on your PC workstation,
and then under WebLogic on the NonStop Server. The deployment process is as follows:
1. Prepare for deployment
• Install prerequisite software
• Install the Director
• Set up the database
• Specify properties
• Create the Director Enterprise application deployment file
2. Deploy on Windows PC (optional)
• Create the WebLogic server
• Create the JMS resources
• Deploy the Director Enterprise application
• Configure the LoaderMDB to use the JMS resources
• Test the Director components
3. Deploy on NonStop Server
• Create the WebLogic domain
• Create the JMS resources
• Deploy the Enterprise application
• Configure LoaderMDB to use the JMS resources
• Test the Enterprise application
Prepare for Deployment
Install Prerequisite Software
Refer to the document entitled Getting Started or the Readme.txt on the CD for a list of
prerequisite software, and install the prerequisite software on the PC and on the NonStop
Server. You should have a Weblogic server running on your target system before
deploying the RTID application.
