3 API Messages
This section lists the workstation messages in numerical order and provides
information about the type, severity, cause, effect, and recovery for each message.
See the Remote Server Call (RSC/MP) Programming Manual for descriptions of the
base values, error classes, and severity assignments.
The RSC/MP API messages have a hexadecimal base value of 0000.
0 (0000 Hex)
Type. Unclassified
Severity. Not applicable
Cause. The operation was successful.
Effect. The operation completed successfully.
Recovery. None.
1 (0001 Hex)
Type. Session
Severity. Retry
Cause. A Guardian file system error occurred while the TDP attempted to contact the
Access Control Server.
Effect. ACS cannot be started.
Recovery. Examine the extended error code for the Guardian file system error that
caused this error. See the Guardian Procedure Errors and Messages Manual for
additional information. Restart the Access Control Server if it is not running.
3 (0003 Hex)
Type. Connect
Severity. Configuration
Cause. The specified communications subsystem is not installed.
Effect. You cannot connect to the RSC/MP communications subsystem.
The operation was successful.
A Guardian file system error occurred while attempting to
contact the Access Control Server.
The selected Communications Subsystem is not installed.
