5 UMS Messages
This section describes the Unsolicited Message System (UMS) messages that might
be returned in the nCode parameter of the UMS header. These messages have a base
value of hexadecimal 6000.
1 (6001 Hex)
Type. Programming
Severity. Fatal
Cause. The destination terminal is not configured in the TDP.
Effect. The unsolicited message cannot be delivered.
Recovery. Configure the terminal or correct the UMS application so that the
destination terminal name specified in the RSC_UMS_HEADER is a configured
terminal.
2 (6002 Hex)
Type. Programming
Severity. Fatal
Cause. The destination terminal has no workstation connections in progress.
Effect. The unsolicited message cannot be delivered.
Recovery. Start the workstation application.
3 (6003 Hex)
Type. Programming
Severity. Fatal
Cause. The destination terminal is not started.
Effect. The unsolicited message cannot be delivered.
Recovery. Start the terminal.
The destination terminal is not configured in the TDP.
The destination terminal is not connected.
The destination terminal is not started.
