Cause. A pipeOpen request was rejected by the remote system, because the remote
system is already connected to a system having the same system address as the local
system. This error can occur when two machines running Piccolo are configured to
have the same SystemName and DomainName settings, which is not allowed. This
error can also occur when attempting to re-establish a connection that was lost
because of a network interruption, if the Piccolo on the remote system has not yet
detected that the connection is lost.
Effect. The pipeOpen request fails.
Recovery. Check the Piccolo configuration and correct any duplicate system
addresses so that no two systems share the same SystemName and DomainName
settings. Then retry the pipeOpen request. When attempting to re-establish
communication after a network interruption, retry the pipeOpen request as needed.
The time required for the remote system to drop the previous connection depends on
the network type, structure, and configuration.
