FlowControl Option
The FlowControl option defines the flow control method to be used on the link. There
are three options:
•
Hardware Use RTS/CTS flow control; your hardware must be set up for flow
control
•
Software Use XON/XOFF flow control
•
None Do not use flow control
Required: No
Default: NONE
Platforms: All
Examples:
1. FlowControl=hardware

IdleDisconnect Option
The IdleDisconnect option specifies the number of seconds that a physical network
connection will be maintained when no logical pipes are using the connection.

The number of seconds in the range 5 through 65535.
Required: No
Default: 5 seconds.

Example:
IdleDisconnect=180
FlowControl=HARDWARE | SOFTWARE | NONE
Note. If you specify HARDWARE flow control on the NonStop system, you must enable
CTSFLOW using CMI or SCF, or flow control on any other device.
