Determining the Appropriate Migration Section

Use the steps below to identify the appropriate migration section.

1. Determine if the current installation uses Piccolo. On the workstation, look for

the file rscpipe in the RSC installation area. If the file is not found, use the

migration section Migrating from RSC 5.0 and Previous Versions to RSC/MP 7.2

on page A-6.

2. Determine if the current installation is prior to RSC 5.1. From the RSC

installation area, run

rscvproc.exe rscpipe.exe

(The file extensions may vary, depending on the platform.)

The output of rscvproc will appear as:

The version number appears after the release date in the

Version: T7985V63_27SEP2002_630_002

line. This example shows version 6.3.0, based on the 630 after 27SEP2002. If the

version is earlier than 5.1, use migration section Migrating from RSC for Piccolo

5.0 to RSC/MP 7.2 on page A-5, otherwise use migration section Migrating from

RSC for Piccolo 5.1 -- RSC/MP 6.x to RSC/MP 7.2 on page A-4.
