PIPECP Commands
PIPECP Commands
Within the PIPECP window, you can enter the following commands at the prompt
(pipecp>):
BACKUP START cpu Starts the backup process. cpu must be the number of a
valid installed and running CPU or a comma-separated list
of valid, running CPUs. For NonStop systems only.
BACKUP STOP Stops the backup process. For NonStop systems only.
CFGSW Directs PIPECP to use a different configuration file and
communicate with a different Pipeman process. For NonStop
and UNIX systems only. For more information about
configuring multiple instances of Pipeman, see Configuring
Multiple Instances of Piccolo (for advanced installations) on
page 5-5.
CHECK Indicates whether Piccolo is running.
CONNECT system Tests connectivity with the named system. system is the
name of the local or remote system that you specified in the
PIPE.INI file.
EXIT (or QUIT)
Exits the PIPECP program.
HELP (or ?) Lists the PIPECP commands.
LOGLEVEL n Changes the diagnostic leve l. Use this command only on the
recommendation of HP Global Customer Support Center
(GCSC).
LOGSWITCH Closes the current log file and opens a new one. See
information about logging in Specifying Piccolo Logging on
page 5-17.
LOGVIEW Displays saved log events.
RESTART Restarts the system. Use RESTART -Y to suppress the
confirmation prompt.
START Starts Piccolo. Note tha t the configuration file must be closed
before Piccolo can be started.
START nifname
Starts the Pipeman-specified network interface.
STATUS Displays general status of Piccolo.
STATUS CLIENTS Displays status of registered Piccolo clients.
STATUS IPC Displays statistics about the Piccolo IPC layer (RSC/MP
Win32+TSE client only).
STATUS LINKS Displays status of links to other systems.
STATUS NIFS Displays status of NIFs that are currently running.
