5 UMS Messages
This section describes the Unsolicited Message System (UMS) messages that might
be returned in the nCode parameter of the UMS header. These messages have a base
va lue of hexadecimal 6000.
1 (6001 Hex)
The destination terminal is not configured in the TDP.
Type. Programming
Severity. Fatal
Cause. The destination termina l is not configured in the TDP.
Effect. The unsolicited message cannot be deli vered.
Recovery. Configure the terminal or correct the UMS application so that the
destination termina l name specified in the RSC_UMS_HEADER is a configured
terminal.
2 (6002 Hex)
The destination terminal is not connected.
Type. Programming
Severity. Fatal
Cause. The destination terminal has no workstation connections in progress.
Effect. The unsolicited message cannot be deli vered.
Recovery. Start the workstation application.
3 (6003 Hex)
The destination terminal is not started.
Type. Programming
Severity. Fatal
Cause. The destination termina l is not started.
Effect. The unsolicited message cannot be deli vered.
Recovery. Start the terminal.
