6 Piccolo Messages
This section describes Piccolo messages that can be returned by RSC/MP. Piccolo
messages are indicated by a base va lue of hexadecimal A000. The specific message
codes listed here are caused by configuration or operational problems in the RSC/MP
product. Any Piccolo message (indicated by the A000 base value ) that is not listed in
this section indicates an internal error in RSC/MP and should be reported to yo ur
Global Customer Support Center (GCSC).
1 (A001 Hex)
PIPERC_PIPEMAN_RSRC_FAILURE
Cause. The Pipeman process could not obtain sufficient system resources to
complete the request.
Effect. Results of subsequent operations are unpredictable.
Recovery. Increase the amount of virtual memory that is available to the Pipeman
process. Restart Piccolo and the RSC/MP application.
2 (A002 Hex)
PIPERC_API_RSRC_FAILURE
Cause. Insufficient memory resources were available to the API to complete the
request.
Effect. Results of subsequent operations are unpredictable.
Recovery. Increase the amount of virtual memory available to RSCPIPE and the
RSC/MP application. Restart Piccolo and the RSC/MP application.
3 (A003 Hex)
PIPERC_INVALID_PIPE_NAME
Cause. The pipe name was not supplied in a va lid format.
Effect. RscConnect fails.
Recovery. Correct the format of the HOST_PIPENAME option setting.
