Safeguard Configuration Record
PASSWORD-MIN-QUALITY-REQUIRED
specifies the mininum quality criteria that must be met when a password is set or
changed. The initial value is 0.
When PASSWORD-ENCRYPT is OFF, any attempt to alter the quality attributes results
in error. The following error message is displayed:
ZPASSWORD-MIN-UPPERCASE-REQ
indicates that the user password must contain the specified minimum number of
uppercase characters. The initial value is 0, and the valid range is 0 through 8.
ZPASSWORD-MIN-LOWERCASE-REQ
indicates that the user password must cont
ain the specified minimum number of
lowercase characters. The initial value is 0, and the valid range is 0 through 8.
Note. When any of the following password quality attributes is enabled, PASSWORD-MIN-
QUALITY-REQUIRED will be automatically set from 0 to 1:

•
PASSWORD-LOWERCASE-REQUIRED
•
PASSWORD-NUMERIC-REQUIRED
•
PASSWORD-SPECIALCHAR-REQUIRED
•
PASSWORD-ALPHA-REQUIRED
Note. This attribute is supported only on systems running G06.31 and later G-series RVUs
and H06.09 and later H-series RVUs.
THIS ATTRIBUTE CANNOT BE MODIFIED UNLESS PASSWORD-ENCRYPT = ON; COMMAND
NOT EXECUTED.
