HELP Command
subsystem [ command ] [ object-type ]
is a combination of any supported subsystem name together with a supported
command, a supported object type, or both for which help is desired (for example,
HELP EXPAND STATS PATH or HELP QIO ALTER SEGMENT).
HELP subsystem command displays subsystem-specific information about the
specified command.
HELP subsystem object-type displays subsystem-specific information about
the specified object type.
HELP subsystem command object-type displays subsystem-specific
information about the specified combination of command and object type.
Consideration
If HELP alone is entered, SCF enters a menu-driven help mode (described on
page 4-21) that guides you through the available help options. Note that function keys
and aliases are disabled while SCF is in the menu-driven mode. Enter QUIT or press
Ctrl-y to exit the menu-driven mode.
Examples
The following command displays the menu-driven help facility:
-> HELP
The following command displays general information about SCF:
-> HELP ALL
The following command displays general information about the General Device
Support (GDS) subsystem:
-> HELP GDS
The following command displays information about converting the COUP START
command to the SCF START command:
-> HELP COUP START
The following command displays information about the SCP START command for
PROCESS objects:
-> HELP SCP START PROCESS
The following command displays information about Expand PATH objects:
-> HELP EXPAND PATH
