LISTDEV Command
Considerations
•
Because the LISTDEV command uses the destination control table (DCT) within
the local processor rather than making a direct request to a manager process or
line handler process, the LISTDEV command may not display the results of a
processor switch if a LISTDEV command immediately follows a PRIMARY
command. To force an update of the local DCT, you can issue any command that
makes a direct request to a manager or line handler process prior to issuing the
LISTDEV command. For example, an INFO command issued prior to the
LISTDEV command forces an update of the local DCT.

If no parameters are given, information is displayed for all the devices on that
system, regardless of whether a processor is down.

To display subdevice names, use the NAMES command (described on page 5-82).
Examples

The following command displays information for all processes that have a device
type and that are known to SCF:

RSize The record size the device is configured for.
Pri The priority level of the device.
Program The fully qualified name of the program file for the process.
