Using TACL ASSIGN Commands
SCF recognizes the TACL ASSIGN command. ASSIGN is used to associate a
physical file name with a logical file name, allowing you to pass file names and
characteristics to SCF. SCF passes the parameter values to processes that request
parameter values when those processes are started.

Assigning the SCFCSTM Custom File
SCF provides the user with the ability to automatically access a command file
containing a set of personalized SCF commands before the start of a session. A file
with the name SCFCSTM located on the user's default volume and subvolume is
executed every time SCF is run in interactive mode. A message is generated when

BACKUP Specifies the target-object backup process for a trace request.
NOBULKIO Specifies that the trace file allow shared access while the trace is active.
COUNT Specifies a specific number of trace records to be captured.
LOCKSIZE Specifies how many pages of memory are locked down at one time.
NOCOLL Specifies whether or not a trace collector process should be initiated.
PAGES Specifies how much space, in 2048-byte pages, to be allocated in the
extended data segment used for tracing.
RECSIZE Specifies the length of data in the trace data records.
SELECT Specifies subsystem-defined keywords or numeric values to select trace
parameters.
TO Specifies a specific named file where trace information is to be written.
WRAP Specifies whether or not to wrap trace data around to the beginning of the
file whenever the end of the trace file is reached.
