How to Customize the Default Configuration for Your System
To customize the default configuration for your system, you create command files to
configure and start objects that are not part of the standard configuration supplied by
HP:
Use the SCF manuals listed on page xii for the correct SCF commands.
Copy the STARTCOM and STARTSCF files on the $SYSTEM.ZSYSCONF
subvolume and make changes to these copies to create your own command files.
With a few exceptions, SCF objects in the SCF0000 file follow naming conventions that
suggest their physical location in the enclosure. After you have verified that your
system is in working order, you can rename most SCF objects. The exceptions are:
The $SYSTEM, $DSMSCM, and $AUDIT disks must not be renamed.
