Common Error Messages
Recovery. As described under If You Have to Call Your Service Provider on page B-2,
save pertinent information and contact your service provider.
-00009
Cause. The command contained a syntactically invalid filename.
Effect. SCF waits for the next command.
Recovery. Correct the erroneous file name and retry the command.
-00010
Cause. A procedure call to the file system has failed during execution of a request.
For example, an OPEN has been rejected by a process.
Effect. SCF waits for the next command.
Recovery. Refer to the Guardian Procedure Errors and Messages Manual for
recovery from the file-system error.
-00011
Cause. The file specified in the command has the wrong file code.
Effect. SCF waits for the next command.
Recovery. Determine the valid file code for filename and retry the request.
-00012
Cause. A fixed limit or configuration limit has been exceeded. Generally, this error is
used to report any overrun of a limit, including internal control blocks or tables.
Effect. SCF waits for the next command.
Recovery. The recovery action depends on the limit exceeded. Refer to the SCF
reference manual for a specific subsystem for information about how it supports the
command and its associated object types.

name, file: filename.
subsystem {E|W}-00011 Invalid type of file: filename for
object-name.
subsystem {E|W}-00012 Maximum Limit Exceeded: limit-value for
