PUP Commands and Equivalent SCF Commands
REFRESH CONTROL DISK, 
REFRESH
Performs a refresh operation for a disk 
when all paths have been stopped.
REDEFINEVIRTDISK  ALTER DISK, TYPE 
VIRTUAL
Changes any specified attributes for the 
virtual disk.
REMOVE  STOP DISK Performs an implicit remove. (An implicit 
remove is also performed when the 
system is shut down.)
RENAME  ALTER DISK  Replaces only the default or alternate 
name of the volume (VOLNAME or 
ALTNAME options). If you use the 
ALTER DISK, LABEL command to 
change both names, all files on the 
volume are deleted. 
RENAME, 
PERMANENT 
RENAME DISK Replaces both the default and alternate 
name of the volume.
REPLACEBOOT CONTROL DISK, 
REPLACEBOOT
Replaces the bootstrap program on the 
specified disk.
REVIVE  START DISK Performs an implicit revive, if needed, to 
update one half of a mirrored volume.
SECTOR  INFO DISK, SECTOR Specifies the logical sector address (LSA) 
for the operation. This can be a decimal, 
octal (%), or hexadecimal (%H) number.
SETCACHE  ALTER DISK, CACHE Changes any specified attribute for the 
disk cache.
SHOWPOOL  INFO POOL Displays information about the storage 
pool. 
SHOWVIRTDISK  INFO DISK Displays information about the virtual 
disk. 
SPARE CONTROL DISK, 
SPARE
Spares a defective sector of a disk.
STATUS STATUS Displays the current status of the object 
type specified.
STOP DEVICE  RESET
STOPOPENS STOPOPENS DISK Prevents files from being opened on a 
disk. It does not disrupt any current 
activity on the disk.
STOP PROCESS  RESET
UP  START Starts the object or process if it is in a 
STOPPED state, making it available to 
user processes. START DISK is also 
used to revive one half of a mirrored 
volume that is in a STOPPED state, 
substate DOWN.
