Deleting a Storage Pool
Example
1. Identify the physical and virtual volumes associated with the pool:
-> INFO $POOL5, DETAIL
2. Delete the virtual disks associated with $POOL5:
-> DELETE DISK $*, SUB VIRTUAL, POOL $POOL5
3. Put the physical volumes associated with $POOL5 into the STOPPED state:
-> STOP ($P5D04, $P5D03, $P5D02, $P5D01 )
4. Remove the physical volumes from the storage pool:
-> ALTER $P5D04, POOL EXCLUDE
-> ALTER $P5D03, POOL EXCLUDE
-> ALTER $P5D02, POOL EXCLUDE
-> ALTER $P5D01, POOL EXCLUDE
5. Stop the storage pool:
-> STOP $POOL5
The storage pool enters the STOPPED state.
6. Delete the storage pool:
-> DELETE $POOL5
7. Verify the storage pool process has been removed from the system configuration
database:
-> INFO $POOL5
