Introduction to the Storage
Subsystem
The storage subsystem allows you to use SCF to configure and manage storage
devices online.
SCF Interface to the Storage Subsystem
The storage subsystem configures and manages all storage objects for G-series and
H-series RVUs. You use SCF to configure, control, and inquire about these objects.
The interfaces between SCF, the Subsystem Control Point (SCP), and the $ZZSTO
subsystem manager are described in the SCF Reference Manual for G-Series RVUs.
When you enter an SCF command, SCF first determines which subsystem can
process the command. SCF then directs the command to the appropriate subsystem
through the Subsystem Control Point (SCP).
