Using OBEYFORM to Create an SCF Command File
Comparing OBEYFORM to LIKE
The LIKE attribute of the ADD command performs a function similar to the
OBEYFORM attribute of the INFO command:
•
Use the LIKE attribute to quickly add one or more similar objects to the current
configuration file.
•
Use the OBEYFORM attribute to see and change the attributes of new objects
before adding them to the configuration file.
You can log configuration information for existing objects and use that information later
to add similar objects or to reconfigure objects that have been stopped or deleted.
By issuing successive INFO commands for each object, you can build a system-load
command file that reflects modifications you have made to your configuration.
You can copy this command file to another system to add the same configuration
records to a different configuration file.
