Object Types for the Storage Subsystem
When issuing SCF commands, you need not specify the object type of the device if
either of these conditions exists:
The object name is fully specified (does not contain wild-card characters), and the
device exists.
An SCF ASSUME command for the object type has already been issued.
The ADAPTER Object
The ADAPTER object represents a specific ServerNet storage adapter that
communicates with the system and attached peripheral devices. For more information,
see Section 11, Configuring and Managing ServerNet Storage Adapters.
The ADAPTER object has this format:
$ZZSTO
is the storage subsystem manager.
