LOGON Command
Example
This example shows the Help screen.
LOGON Command
The LOGON command allows users to log on to the SSGCOM process if the SET
VERIFYUSER option is ON. The SET VERIFYUSER option is OFF by default, so
users are not required by default to log on to the SSGCOM process.
groupname
specifies the group logon name.
username
specifies the user logon name.
password
specifies the password for the specified group and user name. If password is not
specified in the initial LOGON command, the user is prompted for the password
with echo suppression so the password entry is invisible.
Consideration
If you configure SSGCOM as a Telnet service, you can add SET VERIFYUSER ON to
the $SYSTEM.SYSTEM.SSGCONF file in order to secure the host SSGCOM service.
