SET Command
SET GATEWAY gateway-option
defines settings and parameters for the SSG Gateway. An explanation of each
Gateway option follows:
AUTOSTART ON | OFF
specifies whether SSGCOM should attempt to create and start the required
SSG. ON causes SSGCOM to start the requested SSG if necessary while
communicating with the CSG. If SSGCOM receives a request destined for an
SSG that is not running, it tries to start that SSG using the current set of
configuration parameters. When the SSG is started successfully, the original
request is passed to it for processing.
Specifying AUTOSTART OFF prevents SSGCOM from attempting to create
and start the SSG. In these cases, an error is returned to the CSG and the
client. The default is ON.
CONTROLNODE system-name
specifies the controlling system for the SSG process set in an Expand network.
This node is the home node for the OCM process if OCM ON is specified and
for the TDP and RSCCOM processes if RSC ON is specified.
HIGHPINTASKS ON | OFF
specifies how the Gateway starts subordinate CI tasks. ON causes the
Gateway to start all subordinate CI tasks as high PINs (processes with a
process ID > 255). OFF causes the Gateway to start all subordinate CI tasks
as low PINs (processes with a process ID < 255). The default value is OFF to
maintain compatibility with prior versions of the Gateway. However, if the
supply of low PINs on a system becomes exhausted, set HIGHPINTASKS to
ON to cause the Gateway to start CIs as high PIN processes. This setting
allows the Gateway and any applications dependent on it to continue to
function. It also relieves some of the low PIN pressure on the system because
Gateway tasks will subsequently run as high PINs.
OCM ON | OFF
specifies the startup of an OCM process. ON causes the Gateway to start an
OCM process in the same node as the Gateway. OFF disables startup of an
OCM process. The default value is OFF.
OCMobj file-name
defines the OCM program object file. This program is automatically started by
the Gateway process if OCM ON is specified. The default value is
$SYSTEM.SYSTEM.OCM.
