SEEVIEW
The HP SeeView product provides a script execution environment for virtual interfaces 
to extensible windowing systems. SeeView is used by the SSG product to 
communicate with multiple interactive text interface programs running on the NonStop 
operating system.
You can receive SeeView in either of two ways:
•
If you order the optional SeeView classic product, you receive the SeeView kernel, 
the Seedit utility, the SeeView online help file, and all associated SeeShell, 
SeeLocl, SeeCstm, and SeeMeas shells. 
•
If you do not order SeeView classic, you receive only the SeeView kernel. 
Starting and Stopping the SSG
The next steps explain how to start up, determine status, and shut down the SSG 
system. You can put these commands in OBEY files for ongoing use, as described at 
the end of this section.
Starting the SSG
1. Start the SSG by issuing the command SSGCOM from the TACL prompt.
2. Check that the SSG configuration is correct by entering SHOW to display current 
configuration values. For example:
