Preparing to Install Switch Components
1. Verify that the MSEBs are installed in slot 51 and slot 52 of each node you will be
connecting to.
2. Verify that all required software has been installed.
3. Verify that the correct version of the SP firmware has been downloaded to all
service processors.
4. Verify that the system is operating correctly.
5. Refer to the ServerNet Cluster Manual for additional steps that must be completed
before installing the switch components.
Preparing to Replace Switch Components
1. Verify that the component needs to be replaced. Refer to Section 8,
Troubleshooting and the troubleshooting information in the ServerNet Cluster
Manual.
2. Verify that the system is operating correctly. Refer to Verifying System Operations
on page 3-4.
