Verifying the System Configuration
6. Verify that the firmware version for each SP is the same as the VPROC version in
step 2. If any SP has a different version, refer to the OSM or TSM online help for
information about updating your SP firmware.
Verifying the System Configuration
The following processes provide communication between the ServerNet II Switch and
the nodes:
SANMAN
SNETMON
MSGMON
Make sure that these processes are configured and in a STARTED state:
1. From a TACL prompt, start SCF:
> SCF
2. From an SCF prompt, check that the above processes are configured as persistent
generic processes:
->INFO PROCESS $ZZKRN.*
HP recommends the configuration shown in Figure 3-1. $ZIMnn (MSGMON),
$ZZSCL (SNETMON), and $ZZSMN (SANMAN) are all configured and have an
autorestart count of 10. You can choose to use a different symbolic name for these
processes. For example, the symbolic name for $ZZSMN could be
$ZZKRN.#SNMAN rather than $ZZKRN.#ZZSMN. For information about how to
configure these processes, refer to the ServerNet Cluster Manual.
3. Verify that SANMAN is started. For example:
-> STATUS PROCESS $ZZKRN.#ZZSMN
