Management Assembly
Task 4a: Install the UPS Rails
1. Assemble the following hardware and tools:
2 UPS fixed rails (left and right)
2 UPS rail brackets
12 M5 Torx screws
T25 screwdriver
2. Use a T25 Torx screwdriver and 4 M5 Torx screws to attach the UPS rail brackets
to the UPS rails. Leave the screws loose enough so that the brackets will move
slightly; you tighten these screws later.
3. Place the left UPS rail in the bottom of the rack with the UPS bracket towards the
back of the rack.
a. With a T25 Torx screwdriver and two M5 Torx screws, attach the left UPS rail to
the inside of the front of the rack.
b. With a T25 Torx screwdriver and two M5 Torx screws, attach the left UPS rail
bracket to the outside of the back of the rack.
c. Adjust the UPS rail to the proper depth for your rack and tighten the screws
that attach the UPS rail bracket to the UPS rail.
4. Place the right UPS rail in the bottom of the rack with the UPS bracket towards the
back of the rack.
a. With a T25 Torx screwdriver and two M5 Torx screws, attach the right UPS
fixed rail to the front of the rack.
b. With a T25 Torx screwdriver and two M5 Torx screws, attach the right UPS rail
bracket to the outside of the back of the rack.
c. Adjust the UPS rail to the proper depth for your rack and tighten the screws
that attach the UPS rail bracket to the UPS rail.
Task 4b: Install the Cable-Management Tray
1. Assemble the following hardware and tools:
Cable-management tray
Two M5 Torx screws
Two kep nuts
Nut driver
