Task 4c: Install the Cable-Management Assembly
2. At the back of the rack:
a. Place the cable-management tray on top of the UPS fixed rails.
b. Use a T25 Torx screwdriver and two M5 Torx screws to attach the cable
management tray to the outside of the back of the rack.
c. On top of the cable management tray, place a kep nut on each of the two studs
on top of the UPS fixed rail.
d. Use a nut driver to fasten the kep nuts.
Task 4c: Install the Cable-Management Assembly
1. Assemble the following hardware:
•
4 Torx M5 screws
•
1 Cable-management assembly bracket
•
1 Cable-management assembly arm
2. Use two M5 Torx screws to attach the cable management assembly arm to the
cable-management assembly bracket.
3. At the back of the rack, use two M5 screws to attach this assembly to the left frame
of the rack. The cable-management assembly has three holes; insert the screws
into the top two holes of the bracket and the cage nuts that you installed earlier as
shown in Figure 5-1, Locations of Cage Nuts in the Back of Rack, on page 5-4. You
insert a third M5 Torx screw later.
Task 4d: Install the ServerNet II Switch Slide Rails
1. Assemble the following hardware:
•
2 ServerNet II Switch slide tracks
•
4 ServerNet II Switch slide brackets
•
8 8.32 flat Phillips-head screws
•
8 8.32 nuts
•
4 M5 Torx screws
2. To assemble the ServerNet II Switch slide rails, use two 8.32 flat Phillips-head
screws and two 8.32 nuts to attach one slide bracket to each end of both slide
tracks.
Each end of the slide track has three holes; insert the screws so that the center
hole is empty. Attach the slide bracket next to the flat side of the track with its
flanges around the slide track. Orient the threaded mounting flange towards the
end of the slide track.
3. Leave the screws loose enough so that the slide brackets will move slightly; you
tighten these screws later.
