Connecting to the Remote EPO Port, if Required
To connect to the remote emergency power-off (EPO) port on the UPS, have an
electrician perform the following steps:
1. From the back of the enclosure or rack, remove the pluggable terminal block from
the remote EPO port as shown in Figure 7-1.
2. Connect the remote EPO port to dry, isolated normally-open contacts rated at
60Vdc maximum, 30Vac RMS maximum, and 20 mA maximum. Use a single set of
contacts per each UPS.
Connecting an AC Transfer Switch to AC Power
The AC transfer switch powers on as soon as the AC power cords are connected to
the power sources.
1. Make sure that you have the two power cords (T24242-A00).
2. Connect one end of the two power cords to the IEC-320 inlets on the AC transfer
switch.
3. Connect the other end of the two power cords to two independent AC power
sources.
